Maya Cheshire is an interdisciplinary artist in San Jose, California. She has a technical background in painting and drawing, but recently she’s been adding 3D elements such as embroidery and relief to her paintings. She loves to delve into fantasy environments and folktales with her art. In her free time, Maya loves reading and riding her horse Lilo. She exhibited with ArtNow NUMU in 2023 and plans to do so again in Spring 2024. Keep an eye out for her solo exhibition in January 2024, which explores the boundary between hidden and revealed, between interiors and exteriors, while pushing the limits of the painting medium.
